Organized by the Enhancement Center. Join us for this hands-on introduction to Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning. Understand about the nature of horses and how this is important for EAL/EAP. Appreciate horses as co-therapists and the benefits of this approach. Understand Equine Assisted Learning and have a hands-on experience. Understand Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and have a hands-on experience. Who Should Attend: Counselors Social Workers Marriage and Family Therapists Psychologists About the Presenters: Win Simon has owned horses for the past 8 years and is the owner of WT Equestrian, LC. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a Level II Certification in Equine Assisted Therapy from EAGALA and a Level II Certification in Natural Horsemanship.

Equine Therapy Group for PTSD

win kneelingAre you stressed? Are the memories and consequences of trauma interfering with your quality of life?

Join us in our weekly group for people with PTSD and other trauma-related issues. Equine-Assisted Therapy has shown great promise for people with PTSD. Here and here are some articles. Participants report decreased stress and improved resilience and coping skills. The groups are strengths-based and focus on the here and now.

The group is co-faciliated by Win Simon and Florian Birkmayer MD.

The group is open to adults (18+).

WINTER HOURS: Every other Thursday at 1pm. The next 2 will be on 12/3 and 12/7. Call for the schedule for 2016.

This first class in the series is a thorough introduction for everyone interested in the healing art and uses of Herbal Medicine.
